Design Story
The back of this charcoal-washed tee features a full-color photograph of Sound City’s iconic live room, the birthplace of countless legendary tracks. Known for its unmistakable acoustics and natural warmth, this space helped define the sound of analog recording. Beneath the image, a subtle master reel impression adds depth and texture — a visual echo of the countless sessions that ran through the studio. On the front chest pocket area, the Sound City logo appears in classic form, understated and authentic.

This design comes straight from Sound City’s archives, using imagery preserved from the actual studio where albums by Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, Tom Petty, and Rage Against the Machine were recorded. Every detail — from the walls lined with wood panels to the pianos and drums that filled the space — tells a story of raw creativity and timeless sound.
