From the studio floor to your closet — the Sound City Track Sheet Tee brings the analog legacy of rock music to life.
Design Story
This washed charcoal tee features a reproduction of an original Sound City track sheet — the handwritten documentation used by engineers to log each instrument, take, and mix detail on legendary recording sessions. Worn into the background, a subtle reel impression gives the design a tactile, timeworn feel, echoing decades of music history captured on magnetic tape. The Sound City logo on the front chest pocket area anchors the design, a quiet nod to the studio where countless iconic records were born.
A Piece of the Vault
Every element of this shirt was sourced from real archival materials preserved in Sound City’s vault, the same vault that once housed session notes, reel boxes, and master tapes from artists like Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, Tom Petty, and Rage Against the Machine. These authentic documents have been transformed into wearable artifacts, turning the spirit of classic studio work into timeless, lived-in merch.
